Nam Nguyen grew up in Saigon (Vietnam) and moved to Germany in 1966 at the age of 19.
The life and work of his grandfather, a pilot, and his great-uncle, a physician and the former president of South Vietnam, Nguyễn văn Thinh MD-PhD, were his key sources of inspiration in early life.
He studied Aerospace Engineering at the University of Stuttgart and Industrial Engineering & Management as a postgraduate degree. He has been working for the past 40 years as a Consultant in numerous positions and locations across the world. Most recently, he left Hewlett-Packard where he was working as a European Marketing Manager and founded SERVEPOINT. Nam Nguyen qualified as a Financial Planner at the Frankfurt School of Finance and Management (FS). In 2013, he successfully completed the “Introduction to Psychology” course at the Georgia University of Technology, and the “Public Speaking” course at Washington University via “Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCS)”.
He has been advising companies and executives for more than 40 years.
He speaks fluent German, Vietnamese, English and French.
In August 2013, his book, "Be a frog, or the art of capturing the right moment in life" was published.
Nam Nguyen is married to a Japanese woman and has two sons.
He has been practicing Tae-Kwon-Do and Zen for decades.
The Caritas Diocese of Rottenburg-Stuttgart recognized Nam Nguyen 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017 with the “Social Commitment” reward for his involvement with the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program and his active role promoting youth education opportunities.
